Grand parents day 2013 in U.S.A

When we were child our only friends to play and share when we were sad was our grand parents. With them we used to play and enjoy but when the day pass by and we become teen age and then become professional office person, at that time most of us forget our grand parents due to the heavy work load or due to the modernization. We dont forget to hangout with our friends, about beach party, sleep over and completing a project for office but we forget to visit once a week at least to visit our grand parents. And so to give  honor to the contribution of the grand parents to the society and the family U.S.A celebrated today The grand parents day and the Barack Obama was himself had a speech about this day. Barack Obama said he himself follow and celebrate this day. This is a law which was made by Jimmy Carter as National Grandparents day in 1978 he set the next Sunday of labor day as National Grandparents day. There are many people in U.S.A doesn't even know that this day exist as it is not widely celebrated like all other days. So Obama newly made a law to celebrate this day widely just like other holidays and even inspired all ages of people to celebrate this day and to give some respect to all the Grand parents of their family and the community. He also like to have a campaign to promote this day.
