Oscar nominated best supporting actress
Eileen Brennan of "Private Benjamin" died in Sunday at her home Burbank,Calif. The reason of death was bladder cancer. She had really great career at television and in theater. She was playing the role of Doreen Lewis in "
Private Benjamin". The show started in 1980 but ended in 1983 when she had to suffer from a car accident. Just beside Oscar award she got Emmy awards for comedy, music and drama. Her first big role was at "Little Mary Sunshine" as an honored comedy star in 1970. Her popular films including, "Private Benjamin", "
Last Picture Show" and "The Sting", "Hello Dolly", The 'Star Wagon", "
Divorce American Style", "
Long Last Love" and many other hit films she acted on.
Her academic life passed at Georgetown university and studied acting at
American Academy of Dramatic arts in New York.
She got total of six
Emmy awards and one Oscar award. After her accident on 1983 she suffered from breast cancer and got addicted to pain medication.Eileen born in 1932 September 32. Her mother was a newspaper reporter and an actress. In 168-1974 she Eileena got married with David John Lampson one of the popular actor.
